Every Danny Boy Scholar has a unique story, but they all share something in common: a commitment to learning, growing, and building a brighter future. We are proud to support these outstanding students as they pursue their educational goals.
Middle School Scholars
Caleb
An 8th-grade student at Sister Thea Bowman School, Caleb demonstrated remarkable dedication by achieving perfect attendance last year. He’s focused on continuing to improve academically and is determined to make this his best year yet.
Traniece
Traniece is an 8th grader at Sister Thea Bowman School and an Honor Roll student. In addition to her academic success, she stays active in after-school programs and liturgical dance.
Shondria
A straight-A student and Honor Roll scholar, Shondria shines both in the classroom and on stage. She recently played a featured role in a COCA production celebrating the life of Sister Thea Bowman.
Kendrike
Kendrike is a 6th-grade student who enjoys math, football, and track. His goal is to attend a great high school and continue his education through college.
High School Scholars
Raven
A junior at Althoff Catholic High School, Raven balances strong academics with involvement in softball and cheerleading.
Jayani
Jayani is a junior at Rosati-Kain Academy who excels in advanced mathematics and recently participated in the ACCESS Summer Scholars program at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Kevin
A sophomore at Althoff Catholic High School, Kevin is a strong student-athlete who competes on the track team while maintaining excellent grades.
Kalia
Kalia is a sophomore at Althoff Catholic High School who challenges herself with accelerated coursework and is an active member of the school cheerleading squad.
Richard
A senior at Lutheran North High School, Richard combines academic success with community service, earning volunteer hours by tutoring younger students in reading. He is also a member of the baseball team.

Jailah
After graduating from East St. Louis Senior High School, Jailah continues to give back by remaining active in programs at Sister Thea Bowman School and participating in educational enrichment opportunities.
Jai
Jai recently graduated from Gibault Catholic High School and is beginning the next chapter of his journey at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where he is pursuing a degree in Nursing.

Jevon
Jevon earned both a business degree and an MBA and now serves as a Senior Product Manager at Nike.
DeArryka
DeArryka, the first young woman to receive a Danny Boy scholarship, earned her bachelor’s degree and now works at Washington University while pursuing graduate studies.
Jesus
Jesus earned a degree in Criminal Justice and now serves his community as a police officer.
Ravonne
Ravonne is studying computer science and cybersecurity at Loyola Marymount University and recently completed a leadership-focused internship in the technology field.
Quentin
Quentin is pursuing a degree in Engineering with a minor in Sports Management at Central Methodist University.
Kyra
Kyra earned her bachelor’s degree, is pursuing a master’s degree in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management, and now mentors high school students while working at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
